About this deal

Ava Harris is one tough cookie, life has been an uphill battle from an addict mother, to living on the streets until she's under the care of the nuns whilst caring for her six year old brother Tyler who has special needs. WSJ bestselling author Ilsa Madden-Mills delivers a gripping enemies-to-lovers, secret admirer, high school romance. their love for one another was so next level compared to the other books i've read by this author that i was even more suprised by how good this was.

It was such a clear picture of how mental health can play such a big role in how people react to their circumstances.

I could've been happy, had I felt you were in a good situation, but the man you married didn’t love you just the way you were, not like I did. So, yes, this had the element of Knox going after his best friend’s ex, an ex Chance was supposedly in love with, but I just didn’t care.

I also think their first time together should have been more sensible and sexy, it’s wasn’t very exciting. She had me sitting glued to my seat all through and then left me itching to re-live the experience of feeling the rush of first love again. The book cover has no visible wear, and the dust jacket (if applicable) is included for hard covers. Knox struck me as infatuated but in denial, with a scar down the side of his face from brow to lip, he was intriguing to most of the schools female student body, and had a bleachers reputation to boot. Her dream is it to get into Vanderbilt College and to make a great life for her and her little brother! It might seem silly to want something so simple, but for a girl like me—one who’s never had big things—it’s the little things that take up room in my heart: soft rain, starry nights, shy looks, leaves falling, a good movie, Tyler’s smile, chocolate cake—and a date with your guy. Fair warning before reading, please check trigger warnings because this book does talk about heavy topics. I really loved the relationship between Knox and his brother and how much Knox tried to be there for him too. I know this book is gonna be bad because whenever a author tells us that the female lead is "not like other girls " and the male lead is strong person with broken past a part of my brain die.

Dating one of the Shark players offers Ava a taste of their world when she attends a bonfire but all that ends before it began and once again Ava is left standing on her own.about the book, the H was such a dear (one of them soft heroes), but i’d appreciate it if he never wrote a love letter to a girl ever again.

The last chapter of the book was honestly my favorite part of the book because we got to see Knox and Ava being more mature yet still madly in love with one another. This book is not recommended for anyone younger than 18 because deals with issues of rape, drugs, suicide, and depression. I was angry for what Eva had to endure from everyone, because even though it's not a true story, these are things that happen in reality - victims who have to deal with accusations. Knox was the more mysterious character but I loved getting to dig into him and his past and learn all about it.I am always a sucker for a man that steps up into the role of father when the man who should have didn’t. We’re introduced slightly to the Sharks of the school (top, rich, elite students – classic mean kids) four of them being Knox and Dane Grayson, her ex Chance and Liam. Chance, who was dating Ava the year that she was raped hates her cause he believed Ava was lying and just cheated on him.
