If you have followed my articles for long enough, you know that this is my personal favorite decompression model and my recommendation for all experienced and technical divers. If you're diving air, the computer will base your dive on 21% O2. If you're diving Nitrox, all you have to do with a couple of button presses is to tell the computer what your O2 is (i.e. 32%, 36% etc.) As simple as that.

Setting up a computer before the dive is very easy and it is a few buttons to adjust the nitrox and once you do, the nitrox percentage is clearly visible on your display. Repairs/service can be performed on Demo and Pro models, but if you are not the original owner, there will be a cost for the service. The smartphone app is… okay. which is honestly the case for most diving apps these days. Be cool if it was smarter – optionally pull in some location data from the phone perhaps, as you might have it with you on the boat / onshore. As with previous Shearwaters you can upload dive logs via wireless data transfer, and get free firmware updates.
